I am just making sure this is right, can you check it? (-3x^2-7x+1) + (-6x^3 +3x^2-6) -3x^2 -7x+1 + -6x^3 + 3x^2 -6 -6x^3 -3x^2 +3x^2-7x+1-6 -6x^3 + (-3+3)x^2 -7x +(1-6) -6x^3 -7x-5 What I am confused about is that (-3+3)x^2=0x^2 which is nothing right? I do not need to put the x^2 in there, right?

Your right.

It's actually -3x^2 +3x^2 cancel each other out like -1+1

Thank you, Autumn0909. ok, thats what I thought they cancel out no matter if x^2 is there, there isn't anything if its 0.
