Use the discriminant to determine the nature of the roots of x2 – 3x + 3 = 0. last question please help.

The discriminant is: \[b^{2}-4ac\] If this number is greater than 0, then you have 2 real roots. If equal to 0, you have one double root (two roots that are equal) If less than zero, you have 2 imaginary roots Using your numbers: a = 1, b = -3, and c = 3\[b^{2} -4ac = (-3)^{2} -4(1)(3) = 9- 12=-3 \] Since the discriminant is less than 0, we have 2 imaginary roots.
