what is the difference between the electric field intensity of 1)infinite plane charged sheet and 2)infinite conducting charged sheet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can use Gauss's law to show that E outside any conductor is \[\sigma/\epsilon _{0}\]but near a sheet of charge it is half that. The key is to understand that the E field inside a conductor is 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

exactly... e field inside the conductor is zero because conductor has free electron which is not bound to the individual atom... so moving electron kills electric field..
