how do you find the slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Given some equation: \[ax + by + c = 0\] You solve for y: \[ y = -\frac{a}{b}x - \frac{c}{b}\] And the slope will be the coefficient in front of the x. (In this case \(-\frac{a}{b}\))

If your equation is already in the form: y = mx + b Then the slope is the m.
