x2+8x^2+7x over x^2+15x+56. simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you quite sure it's x^2 and not x^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well then, I'll solve what you have then.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You need to work out the bottom first. Like so: x^2+8x^2+7x/(x+7)(x+8)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the way you posted the top is correct, then it will be like this: Combine the like terms: x^2+8x^2= 9x^2 which is now: 9x^2+7x/(x+7)(x+8)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

From here all you can possibly do is factor out the x on the top function and you have your x's: x(9x+7)/(x+7)(x+8)
