okay, so you're going to have: √17^5 √1419857 = 1191.577526 which is approximately 1191.58

The way you know how to set this up is: Always think of the denominator in the fraction as the type of square root. In this fraction 5/2 : √ imagen a 2 there. Say the fraction was 5/22. What would be on the box of the square root? " ^5√ " It would be five. Get it? The bottom of the fration will always be the exponent of the origianal problem. In this case 17. Had it have been 68^1/2, the base would have been 68. In 17^5/2, the exponent is 2, because it's on the bottom. Now you multipy the 17, which is under the √ to have a √17^2, and solve from there as you know.

I hope this helps :D
