whats the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need help using the number line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Integers are all numbers in the set\[\mathbb{Z}={..., -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, ...,}\] So basically, every number you would see on the number line IS an integer. Can you be a little more specific with your question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x+-5)*-9=9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you divide each side by -9, you'll get (x-5)=-1=9/-9 x-5=-1 x=4
