Are there certain conditions when I am allowed to use the divergence test?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which test for divergence?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cause there are a lot and each has it's own special restrictions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Divergence test saying that if lim as n goes to inf of {a sub n} does not = 0, therefore we can say that {a sub n} diverges.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, you should be able to use that one wherever, however, that test cannot tell you if the series is convergent or not, only divergent. a limit of 0 does not mean convergence, but any other limit value does mean divergence.
