does anyone know how to use the hardy-weinberg equation, for more than one generation?

In a true Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, the values of p and q should not change from one generation to the next. If they do (e.g. you remove a bunch of heterozygotes), you would have to recalculate the values of p and q based on the new number of individuals.
