First of all you will have to install some apple OS and XCode on it, cause debbuging on windows or linux i s too painfull. I've read this book, and it is quite good:

Go to iTunes and look under iTunes U for the Stanford University iPhone App development lectures. They're a fantastic tool for learning Objective C and how to make apps. I used them to learn how to make my own apps.
