OpenStudy (paige):

What's the difference between domain and range?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

domain is the 'x's, range is the 'y's

OpenStudy (paige):

Can you give me an example please? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if y=1/x then the range is any value y can take, and the domain is any value x can take, so for this one, the range is y is a real number, not equal to one, and so is the domain

OpenStudy (sriram):

y=sin x range = -1 to+1 domain = all real nos (thats for x)

OpenStudy (paige):

Ok. Thanks! :D
