You can do it online by yourself with any of the many brokerages. I would google online brokerage bonuses and you often get commision free trades for a month or free cash for setting up an account

I use http://www.sharebuilder.com the trade cost is kinda of expensive at $10 a trade but you do not need a starting balance and it is free to sign up

different companies offer stock trading like etrade, scottrade, td ameritrade etc. research on which one is best for you as each of them charge different fees to trade and then open an account with them. goodluck
