find the slope if it exists of the line containing the pair of points (1,9) and (7, -1)
Use the slope formula
subtract the points and stack y/x (1, 9) -(7, -1) ------- (-6,10); slope = y/x = 10/-6 = -5/3
(-1-9)/(7-1) -10/6 -5/3
yea I know that...but i got the wrong answer yesterday...so I am getting help. I put this up last night but the site messed up and now it is gone from my profile.
\[m=\frac{\Delta y}{\Delta x}=\frac{-1-9}{7-1}=\frac{-10}{6}=\frac{-5}{3}\]
my bad... it is 6 and -10 meaning it is meaning -5/3
:D
nah-nah!! i got it fiirrrsst lol
mine looks the prettiest :)
