Ok, I just got back from a hike up the side of a mountain. Here is the data from my GPS: Change in altitude +47m Displacement to the north +204m Displacement to the west +2m Traveling time 2 minutes, 46 seconds How steep was the hill? (in degrees) How fast did I travel? (in km/h)

OpenStudy (llort):

since no one else is answering, I will do this myself... The distance traveled is: \[\sqrt{204^2+2^2+47+2}\approx209.35375\] with the Trig, I have: \[\sin (47/209.35375)\approx0.22261932\] The question is what is that in degrees? Also, it is 4.540202 km/h Was that so hard?

OpenStudy (llort):

IDK where that +2 at the end of the equation came it, it's wrong... :S
