I tend to prefer to rewrite these kinds as a product with negative exponents.. Saves me having to bother with separate memory space for the 'quotient rule'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(y = x^{-5}cos(x)\) \[\implies\frac{dy}{dx} = x^{-5}\frac{d}{dx}[cos(x)] + cos(x)\frac{d}{dx}[x^{-5}]\] \(=\ ...\)
