Question

Okay, so I have been writing lyrics for possible songs. I want to put my lyrics into actual SONG.
I am about to start learning piano, and am in the beginning part of learning guitar.
Does anybody know how to help? I can post my songs (: I already have some posted!!
I am told I'm very good...I just...I need to be able to start SINGIN em!! xD

Honestly the key is just forcing yourself to bust out a few tracks in an afternoon without immediately erasing them. As artists we're all prone to be our own harshest critics. It's important to understand the intricacies of the revision process in order to achieve the success you want. It's ok not to get it perfect on the first try, but don't spend 50 tries on the first few notes alone. Put your heart and soul into each take and eventually you'll find one that you like enough to post. With regards to song writing in particular, I personally find it easier to get the beat/melody down first and then add lyrics, but I've heard people do it the other way as well. Regardless, always remember to stay positive and never give up. Persistence is pivotal. Good luck!

yeah........its very very good to know about yrs..i am not a geniuse in singing and playing instruments..but if u can put yr lyrics sure put it here..as i think music is a voice of our heart.just feel it and start to play..dont think what other thinks abt that..its sure be nice..

Find your own meter in your head. Your words flow correctly within your mind. Try and find the music that best flows with the internal feed, then go from there. Try and match your notes to your vocals.. unless you are going for the contrast....Good luck in your endeavours.
