What does it mean to be "coked to the gills"?

At the age of forty Pete took up sky diving. He made his first jump with two friends who'd started only a few months earlier and were already doing stunts. They were both coked to the gills when they jumped but Pete wanted to do it straight, at least the first time, and he was glad that he did. He would never have used the word mystical, but that was how Pete felt about the experience.
LOL Being "wingspaned to the gills" is actually slag it means you are either VERY VERY DRUNK OR VERY VERY HIGH OR JUST PLAIN VERY VERY INTOXICATED!!! hehe I haven't heard "wingspaned to the gills" in a LONG TIME ;) hope that helps!!!
"coked" to the gills, meaning really high on cocaine.
