Interview Question: You have a pen and someone else had the same pen, how would you sell your pen over theirs?
A good way would be to tell how your pen is better than his and why he should buy it.
You have the same pen? sounds to me like pens are worthless... what the hell are you selling a pen for? Don't you know theres an island of plastic twice the size of Texas floating around the Pacific ocean. I think the market could do without another pen sales man. How bout we come up with a bio engineered algae that feed off of plastic, giving off a more desirable bi product like i don't know maybe oxygen.
Make your pen feel special. Call in local hookers of the opposition's preferred gender and say that they like it because it's THAT PEN.
Artificially create scarcity by immediately destroying their pen and retaining hold to yours. Wait out the market until the opposition feels the need to sign something important but has no pen.
Coat it with Michael Jordan's "Special Stuff" from the block-buster movie "Space Jam".
However, if you are in an interview. Say you'd create demand somehow I suppose. It's an interview question, you're not supposed to have a set response on hand written on your hand in sloppy ink.
They want to see your reasoning and mental gymnastics as you work through the problem, dudebro.
passion, motivation, and a positive attitude.
You sell it for more by using advertising and marketing strategies. You build your pen into a brand and market it as a brand.
simply tell them that if they don't buy your pen it will be the greatest and most embarrassing mistake that they will have ever made and that they will regret it for the rest of their lives. The reason for this is because even though the pens may look similar, i am seriously putting in a lot of effort to sell you my pen.
