1/4x^2 - 2√3x-3=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you supposed to factor that or just find x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

turns into eq (-1/4)/(2sqrt3x +3) = x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for including the instructions with that

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

x = 0.817 x = -14.67

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you saifoo. This isn't a race of who can solve it first

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Jealous People.

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

Since it equals 0, multiply equation by 4 x^2 - 8sqrt3 x -12 = 0 use quadratic formula x = [8sqrt3 +-sqrt(192+48)] / 2 x = 14.67, -.817
