Suggestion - how about a philosophy group?
Also, i think Arts and Design should be separated... the first focussing in Fine Arts and the second in web design, industrial design, fashion etc...

There is. You can click on home and then View All Groups at the bottom, Engineering is 2nd in the right hand column. Or you could just click here: http://openstudy.com/groups/engineering

Yes, we know some of the groups right now are a little too broad. That's intentional; we're trying to group many people in the same place where possible. Philosophy is an interesting idea; we've already been considering it. You can register your interest by clicking on `view all groups'; then, a link to a survey for what groups to create next will come up. Some of the groups listed already exist now, but go ahead and pick the ones you're interested in or write philosophy in :)
