Always look at the constant terms, and the algebraic terms SEPERATELY. Makes it a hell of a lot easier to find factors. And always remember that a^2, a^3, a^4, a^5 etc are all just a multiplied by itself, so make sure you take the highest power possible :) Using that: The highest common factor is indeed 3a^3.
