Please solve this (^ means exponent) applying the rules of exponent (2x+y)^4 (2x+y)^5

those two factors in parenthesis are multiplied or ??? - so if yes there is multiplication this will be equal with (2x+y)*9 because in case the multiplication the exponents need assumed if the terms are the same like in this case (2x+y) - so in this way 4+5=9
