You Can do it (c/C++) by Francis Glassborow is a very good one for beginners, and if you want something a little more substantial, then the creator of C++ Bjarne Stroustup wrote "Programming: Principles and Practice Using C++).

The C language by K&R is definetly a starter , C by Example by Noel Kalicharan , C Programming :A Modern Approach by K.N King

C by K&R is bit tough 4 newbies...try E Balagurusamy McGraw Hill Publication it may not b locally available..try downloading it..
