A question for all the students (about math videos). "Which kind of math video do you find most helpful?" 1) Screen-capture+ voiceover (no face) http://youtu.be/Mnu16kCRW4U 2) Video of hand + whiteboard (no face) http://youtu.be/Maz6QH8qanA 3) Person's face + whiteboard http://youtu.be/gATyxfjIFPM (These are all videos about fractions so they are covering the same content, but in different video format.) I ask because I want to start making math videos, and I want to know what formats you find most helpful. :) Thank you for your thoughts!
I prefer 3 but most of my students love Khan Academy (1)
ill say the third one because its more clearer and i prefer or like to study on the board not on papers
Thank you for your feedback. I want to include lots of graphing calculator action into my videos, so I'll have to do some editing between "standing in front of board + writing on board" and "Screencapture of Geogebra doing cool stuff with graphs." :)
1 and 3, but i prefer 1
1 would be great.
I think the best one is number 1, as for the format of the video. But the quality of the animation is very bad. Something like that, but done with a little more work would be amazing. Somthing like this, but obviously slower and clearer, but this kind of presentation and dynamism is very helpfull, i think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxWOPC_JC4s I do digital animation, kind of like the one from the video, but way better... i've never done didactic material but if you ever need a video done, tell me and maybe i can help.
