how will I prove the statement: (step by step) If a>0, then 1/a> 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a>0 divide both sides by a^2 not a^2 is not zero as a is not zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a/a^2 >0 (1/a)>0

also remember that when you divide by a negative you should flip the inequality sign, but we are dividing by a sqaure , which must be positive, so the sign doesnt need to be flipped
