Well we know it took 3 hours for them to travel 240 miles so thy were together going 80mph which means the slower one went thirty five and the faster one went forty five because f the 10mph difference. In three hours at thirty five mph the slower car could have traveled 105miles and if 3x is 105 then x is 35 so put thirty five in fir x and see which one equals the distance of the faster car which is fortitude times three so which option when thirty five I'd put for x equals one hundred thirty five
