the strengthS of a rectangle beam varies jointly as it width w and te square of its thickness t. If a wood beam 4 inches wide and 3inches thick support 600 , how much can a similar beam 4 inches wide and 5 iches thich support

I'm not 100% sure about this but if you use proportions and ignore the width you would get: \[3/600=5/x\] solving for x you would get 1200 again, im not sure but this is how i'd solve it
