What is the equation for a line that contains the points (0,3) and (4,-1)

myininaya (myininaya):

\[m=\frac{\Delta y}{\Delta x}=\frac{-1-3}{4-0}=\frac{-4}{4}=-1\] lines have form y=mx+b so we have y=-1x+b we know a point on the line (x=0, y=3) the y-intercept is b=3 so the line is y=-x+3
