tell if the two line are parallel or perpendicular y=4x-3 and y=-3/2x+12 (solve)

OpenStudy (aroub):

y=4x-3 and y=-3/2x+12 they dont have same slope so they are not parallel and if u multiply their slopes they are not perpindicular so non

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the slope of the first line is 4...(the -3 doesnt matter, it just moves the line up or down) which means it rises 4 for every 1 it moves to the right-and a parallel line would have to also have a slope of 4..and a perpendicular line is -1/slope...or in this case it would be -1/4 (it goes down 1 for every 4 it moves to the right) the second line has a slope of -3/2 which isnt 4 or -1/4 so it is neither parallel or perpendicular.
