Logic question: You have nine of an identical coin and you know one of them is counterfeit, you also know that the fake weighs slightly less than the other coins. You have access to a balance scale but you can only do two measurements. How are you going to find the fake coin?

Measure 6 of them. If they balance it's in the other three so measure two of them. If they balance the fake is the one never balanced. If they don't balance it's the light one. If the first 6 don't balance take the lighter 3 and do the same to those three as when the first six balanced.
