pc build: i have built a pc from old parts i have lying around, it powers up fine however there are no graphics running to my monitor. I have tested 3 seperate graphics cards to see if i can solve this to no avail. Is there something wrong with the mobo or have i done something wrong?

Does that monitor works? I mean it can be possible the monitor is not, or the VGA cable or both, or perhaps the GPU itself... So many casualties....

the monitor used is the one i am using currently, i haven't got a spare mobo to test otherwise :S I was assured the mobo was in working order when it was given to me.

Well I found this in the internet about Graphic Cards problems... http://en.kioskea.net/forum/affich-28931-no-display-in-monitor

ok thank you, I'll see what i can do about it ^.^

if you are having issues with it displaying anything when you boot it it may be because it doesnt pass the boot tests that the bios runs. When you start your computer it checks 3 things, CPU Ram Video if it detects a problem with any of these, it will stay on, but the screen will be blank. reseat all of these parts and see if that works.

I would take the RAM out and turn it on and see if it beeps erratically (make sure you have an internal sound card) if it does beep the board probably works. If no sound the boards probably dead.
