all types of drugs are present in our system and are released as endorphrins. outside drugs from our body cause a reward circuit that makes us addicted. IE> i will drink to make me forget my problems ergo, when i feel bad i know that alcohol will have me forget my problems which the reward circuit makes believe that we are actually forgetting but we actually are not. that help?

I strongly recommend reading "DMT: the spirit molecule" by Rick Strassman if you have not already. http://www.amazon.com/DMT-Molecule-Revolutionary-Near-Death-Experiences/dp/0892819278 In searching for the link I just provided, I also discovered that there are several videos on youtube.com if you do a search for "the spirit molecule." This question is highly debatable, and while some research does support that DMT is, as they say, a "spirit" molecule, many other scientists have also refuted the research. It's a hot topic with no clear answer.
