OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, example 1 from http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/Classes/DE/VariationofParameters.aspx Is it error?

On website, y'' is shown as y with bold " ' ". Is this another way of writing y prime prime?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The typeface on the website is a bit misleading. I tried zooming in, and even then it still looks like a single prime. From the complementary solution, since it contains sin/cos, it makes sense that the ODE has the form y'' + y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's good sense.
