OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which organelles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need all of them!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nucleus- Contains DNA Ribosome- Protein assembly Endoplasmic Reticulum- Transports cells Golgi Apparatus- Modifies and sorts proteins Mitochondira- Makes usable energy (Chloroplast)- Sunlight to chemical energy :D

These are cell parts, but not necessarily always considered to be "organelles," although they do all have specific functions. Cell Wall: Gives support to plant cells; made of cellulose Nuclear Membrane: Protects the nucleus and controls the transport of materials in/out Vesicles: aid in the transport of materials in/out of cell and surrounding area Other organelles: Vacuole: Stores liquid for the cell Lysosome: digests old cell parts Nucleolus: Control center of nucleus; where chromosomes congregate, produces ribosomes Ribosomes: produce protein, transcribe RNA
