In creative writing is it ok to have passive sentences? Like 'the trigger was pulled' instead of 'he pulled the trigger'. Because if you write something in 3rd person you end up with a lot of pronouns.

Rain - it depends on what you want the focus of the sentence to be. Active sentences generally give a more direct form of writing - crisper, cleaner, however if you want to focus on, say, the gun, or whatever object the character is interacting with, then you use passive.

ok thank you!

I would always try to use active with descriptive verbs. The bullet fired out of the gun. vs. The trigger was pulled You can still make the object the focus, but the first is more interesting.
