5. What is the measure of one of the exterior angles in a regular convex 18-gon?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

360 / 18 = 20 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the sum of exterior angles in all polygons add up to 360

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the meaning of gon

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is totally false.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gon a in polygon means sides poly = many. many sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In a n-gon, the interior angle is equal to (180(n-2))/n °. The exterior angle is 360° minus the interior angle. So, in a 18-gon the interior angle is 160° and the exterior is 200°.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it depends what you mean by the exterior angle, but in Geometry it is taken to mean the angle between one side of the polygon and the adjacent one extended outside the polygon

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An exterior angle beta of a polygon is the angle formed externally between two adjacent sides. It is therefore equal to 2pi-alpha, where alpha is the corresponding internal angle between two adjacent sides (Zwillinger 1995, p. 270).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as i said - there are two definitions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in euclidian geometry its the other definition

satellite, wen ur done here can u help me wit my questoin?
