2x^2+x+3 / x-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{2x^2+x+3}{x-2}\] ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i guess you are supposed to divide. nothing cancels so you get \[ 2x+5=\frac{13}{x-2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you!

OpenStudy (radar):

Sure would like to see how that went. If the quotient of that divsion is 13/(x-2) then \[13/(x-2) \times (x-2) = 2x ^{2}+x+3\] Does it???
