BC - CD = 14 DN + NR = 34 as BC = DN (opp sides of rectangle) so eq 1 becomes DN - CD = 14 Now DN = 14 + CD and from eq 2 DN = 34 - NR 14 + CD = 34 - NR NR = CD = x (sides of a rhombus) 14 + x = 34 - x 2x = 20 x = 10 GR = x = 10 4GR = 4 x 10 = 40
