Reduce this algebraic fraction 27c^4d^5/9c^7d^4

look at the fraction term by term, so first look at the numbers, since 27 is divisible by 9 we know that the number that will be left on the top will be 3 with no numbers on the bottom. so we have it reduced to: 3c^4d^5/c^7d^4 now look at the c's. you can subtract the exponents when one is dividing the other, however, since there are more c's on he bottom, you will have more leftover there. so we get: 3d^5/c^3d^4 do the same with the d's and you get: 3d/c^3
