And apple farm yields an average of 37 bushels of apples per tree and there are 19 trees per acre. Every time a tree is added the bushel count decreases by one bushel per tree. How many trees give the highest yield?

It also would be cool if there was an explanation on how you got the equation. Unless it is self explanitory.

Not surprisingly, it is when the number becomes a square. 19 37 703 20 36 720 21 35 735 22 34 748 23 33 759 24 32 768 25 31 775 26 30 780 27 29 783 28 28 784 29 27 783 30 26 780 31 25 775 32 24 768 33 23 759

784

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Glitched out. I wanted to put an arrow beside 28, 28, 784

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is fine man... I can read... Lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah so 28 trees per acre.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks.
