an interface is a way to interact . any system have to interact with the outer environment need to have an interface.the outer environment is anything out of the system borders. you can be more specific about what you mean to get better answers

ok..i am currently doing a project based on the drive-thru system..i mean.,u order food outside the restaurant on a touch screen monitor, then the restaurant will receive your order..u pat at that very place and what u have to do is just taking the food inside..so, what is the system interface..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The interface in the scenario would be the touch-screen that the customer uses. The restaurant is the system. The restaurant (system, computer) won't know to do anything until you use the interface to communicate with it. If there were no touch-screen, then the person who takes your order in its would be the interface (or the register they use to input your order, or both - since both are communicating). An interface is simply any device used to communicate with a system or its components.

interface - it is your outer touch screen monitor with which the user or the customer will interact and its implementation will help the restaurant officials to monitor a request from the user
