The tricky part about this problem is that with an inequality, if you multiply or divide both sides by a negative, the inequality switches from < to > or from > to <. To see that this is true, consider the simple inequality 1 > -1. Now multiply both sides by negative one. You get -1 > 1, which isn't true. Instead, the inequality flips and you get -1 < 1.
