For what???

To write a successful conclusion, you need something to conclude. You generally conclude by reversing your introduction. If your introduction says "Hello, here's something interesting, and here's why: 1, 2, 3." Your conclusion might say "Because of 1, 2 and 3 above (what I just said) is interesting or proven, Goodbye." Read just your intro, then read your conclusion immediately after. The two should fit together and make sense or imply that during your body you proved your point.

i would love to do that, although our teachers hate when we restate the intro.

You don't need to restate the introduction, at all! But do what the introduction does in reverse. I pick up your paper. Why do I read it? It has an interesting title! I start reading... Interesting first words that connect my life experience to what you are talking about. I read on... Last thing in the intro is a summary of what's in your body paragraphs. So in reverse, FIRST thing in conclusion is what you talked about BUT NOW you recap why you talked about it in the first place. Or, if you were forced to write about it ;) you say why what you talked about is important or relevant in general - to everybody. Really, those should be the same things once you write about something you pick. (Here's why I wrote about = because it's important to everybody)

thank you! that helped. i turned it in, and i better get an A lol. I worked on that pretty intensely.

Glad to hear it, on both accounts :)
