I have never done literary analysis before, Not sure I'm on the right track. I also would like to have the reader start to like Emily a little or at least sympathize enough to not dislike her.

I chose this short story to write on for 2 reasons, 1) I doubt anyone else will choose it and 2) My instructor doesn't like Emily at all, I want to give her a new opinion of Emily.
