would anyone be willing to check my short essay on Capulet and Romeo? the question was.....Write a short essay, a minimum of two paragraphs, contrasting Lord Capulet and Romeo. Give examples from the play showing how the actions and statements of each character represent Lord Capulet’s age and Romeo’s youth.

Ok, your basic ideas are good, but Im not sure Romeo was ever with Rosaline. If I remember right, he only loved her for her beauty. Is there a certain rubric youre graded upon? also, if I may ask, what grade is this for? i read this freshman year.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

also, your essay consists of many fragments. try and liven up your sentences a bit(:

well its for 9th grade and ill send the rubric (its only worth 10 pts...so it dont have 2 b PERFECT) its not any 12th grade parper and u can tell prob. (my writing is bad i kno)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would say that instead of their age being the core difference, their upbringings were different. Because they grew up in different times, they learned the same lessons a different way. Your're completely right about their love for Julliet, but I would change it a little bit to say that they have two conflicting philosophies. One opts for too much peace, and the other has too little peace, both seeing eachothers solutions as the wrong way to go. Does that make sense?
