Under plan B Giselle would pay the first $250 but only 35% of the rest. For what amount of medical bills will plan B save Giselle money? Assume she has over $250 in bills. Giselle would have with plan B if she had more than $-- in bills

160 + .4(x - 160) = 250 + .35(x - 250) 96 + .4x = 162.5 + .35x .05x = 66.5 x = $1330 Plan B is better if bill exceeds $1330.
