There's a theory I read about some time back about the Big Bang theorizing that the universe would implode to gravitational singularity once maximum entropy had been reached, anyone know the name of this theory?
you are talking about the cyclical model of the universe.
And the cycle would end in "The Big Crunch".
It is actually a well known and studied theory by astronomers. Mainly because the geometry of the Universe is difficult to understand even with current technology. The idea is that depending on the type of unvierse you use, ie if you use a flat universe, closed universe, or hyperbolic universe. each of them being defined with a curvature constant, that would be applied to the Friedmann Equations, such that K=1,K=0, and K=-1, respectively. In the case of the closed Universe, K=0, the Universe would expand to a critical density, ei Maximum Entropy, and recollapse. It was first originally proposed by Alexander Friedmann in 1922 and
