5x = log45(66) 5x = ln(66)/ln(45) x = ln(66)/(5 ln(45))

45 means 4 ...

x = ln(66)/(5 ln(4))

the calculator gives back: .604439.... but the answer isnt important it understanding how the answer is obtained

yes :) i mistyped because one of the voices in me head wouldnt be quiet and let me concentrate ;)

i converted it into ln(..) form because that is what most calculators have on them for log functions
