5/8+1/166x=5/16+x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it\[\frac{1}{166x}\]or\[\frac{1}{166}x\]or something else (like it's supposed to be 1/16?)?

the way i worked it go no solution. is that correct?? I am puzzled.

Multiply every by the least common denominator, which in this case would be 8(166x)(16+x). That is if the equation is set up as follows:\[5/8 +1/(166x) = 5/(16+x)\]

I was asking you to clarify your question because what you wrote is not clear. Is it like milneje34 said, or something else?
