working on ps6 problem 3. When I make the dictionary for the words_to_points, python stops responding after about 10 sec. Any ideas? http://dpaste.com/hold/565517/

I think maybe your words to points dictionary creating function need not be so complex (referring to multiple other functions). For each word you just need to get the score for each letter and then add them up. Your code seems to work though but it does freeze my machine as well for a bit before completing. Check my solution a couple of posts down?
I checked it again this evening. It seems fine if I call the function and assign it to a variable and then call the values for the dictionary. If I just run the function in IDLE it seems to lock up. Weird
